摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain iron fiber sintered material which is excellent in the maintenance of active material, electric conductivity and mechanical strength in such a way that iron fiber is applied the pressure, the heat and formed before sintering, and nickel-plating is done after sintering. CONSTITUTION:Continuous belt-shaped iron fiber 1 which has long iron fiber in fiber diameter of 10-50muphi is continuously supplied as a roll 2, heated compressive formation is done within reducible atmosphere with a hot roller 3 in the temperature of 900 deg.C. This heated compressive formative material is sintered at 950 deg.C in a sintering furnace 5 within reducible atmosphere. Then, without exposing the sintered material to the outer air, pretreatment of nickel-plating is done continuousely with a weak acid 6 in a bath reservoir 7, on the heels of it, nickel-plating is done in a plating reservoir 8, which is flushed with water in a water flushing reservoir 8, dried in a drying furnace 10, and then iron fiber sintered material 11 can be obtained.
