PURPOSE: To sell a commodity that a customer desires by reading its card out by a bar code reader, and perform commodity management by providing the commodity card, a bar code reader, a customer display, a display for a commodity shelf, and a controller. CONSTITUTION: The customer looks at displayed commodity samples and passes a commodity card to a cashier. The cashier reads the bar code of the passed commodity card out through the bar code reader 11 of a POS terminal 1. Consequently, the amount of money is displayed on the display 13 and the controller 3 displays the quantity of sold commodities, etc., on the display 2 for the commodity shelf corresponding to the commodity that is inputted with the bar code. Then, the cashier receives and pays cash and change and another clerk bags and passes the indicated number of commodities to the customer. The commodity information inputted to the POS terminal 1 is stored in a memory 14 and utilized as bushiness management data. |
