PURPOSE:To conduct accurate pressure molding in conformity with the molding surface of the mold by a method wherein after the work part of synthetic resin is rapidly heated for a short time period and molded, the molded part is hardened by cooling it through the mold. CONSTITUTION:A compact case 1 molded from a thermoplastic resin is placed on a supporting table 4, and a mirror is fitted into an annular projection 2 projecting on the inside surface of the case. Then a press base-seat 5 provided with the mold 7 having a molding surface 8 analogous to the annular projection 2 and provided further with a cooler 6 in contact with the mold 7 is lowered toward the table 4, whereby the molding surface 8 is pressed against the projection 2 of the case 1. Thereafter, an HF current is supplied to a working coil 9 arranged along the outside periphery of the mold 7, thereby softening the projection 2 and molding it to the shape of the molding surface 8. Then, the power supply for the coil 9 is stopped and water is circulated in the cooler 6, whereby the projection 2 is cooled through the mold 7 and solidified. |
