PURPOSE:To make it possible to transmit two video signals by one circuit, and also to monitor a multiplexed video signal, by compressing the time base of the first and second video signals to 1/2 in the horizontal direction, and transmitting them by arraying reciprocally. CONSTITUTION:Video signals 11a, 11b are input to the compounding processing circuits 17a, 17b of the same structure, respectively, through the input terminals 16a, 16b. As for the luminance signal and the color signal, which have been processed in the said circuits, the time base of the video signal is compressed to 1/2 in each horizontal period by the luminance compressing circuit 41a and the color compressing circuit 42a. The compressed signal is input to the compounding circuit 85 through the luminance adder 83a and the buffer memory 84a. The compounding circuit 85 arrays reciprocally by timing the outputs of the compounding processing circuits 17a, 17b and transmits them through the D/A converter 86 and the process amplifier 87. The receiving side reproduces a video signal by separating each signal and expanding the time base. |
