PURPOSE:To automate the process of inspecting gears and to eliminate or reduce labor, by arranging a projector, photodetector, etc., on a rotary table. CONSTITUTION:Rotary table 7 made rotatable on device frame 6 is provided with brake-attached geared motor 8, pulse generator 9, projector 10, photodetector 11b, gear pressing device 12, constituting gear inspecting machine 1. Consequently, gear 3a carried by conveyor 33 connected to the gear manufacture line is mounted on rotary table 7 and during its rotation, its gear flank fitting point is irradiated with light to receive its reflected light by photodetector 11b, etc. Then, the count value of electric pulses generated corresponding to the photodetection is collated with that of pulse generator 9 that corresponds to the rotational frequency of rotary table 7 so as to decide automatically whether teeth are fixedly worked in terms of the number and chamfering. |
