SILVER HALIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC EMULSION

摘要

PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of fog and desensitization phenomenon due to physical pressure during the time from a manufacturing process to image formation by adding a specified amount in total of Ir(III) and Ir(IV) compounds when silver halide is formed or physically ripened. CONSTITUTION:When silver halide is formed or physically ripened, an Ir(III) compound such as halide or complex salt and an Ir(IV) compound such as halide or complex salt are added in 5:95-95:5 ratio by 10<-8>-10<-5>mol to the amount of the silver halide in the form of a soln. prepared by adding a soln. of a hydrogen halide such as HCl or an alkali halide such as NaCl to stabilize the Ir compound soln. Thus, the resulting photosensitive material is prevented from undergoing pressure fog at the lower density part due to pressure and a density lowering at the higher density part due to densensitization action.
