A method of anchoring pipelines on the sea-bed consists of drilling holes on either side of the position of the pipeline, sealing posts in the holes, passing an arc-shaped piece around the pipe, fixing the ends of the piece on to the posts and inserting a filling material in an expandable body placed between the pipe and the arc-shaped piece. The invention resolves problems associated with laying pipes at depths requiring diving equipment, with variations in the nature of the sea-bed and with crossing pipes. It reduces to a min. the number of operations to be carried out and ensures good fixing of the pipe in the ground.
