<p>PURPOSE:To prevent power loss resulting from extra compression capacity generation by making it possible to open and close a communicating port between the closed gas chamber and the suction chamber and regulating the discharged volume, with regard to the worm-type compressor equipped with the worm tooth surface intermeshed by a pinion in an inner gearing manner on the cylindrical inner surface. CONSTITUTION:When the normal capacity of compressor is required, electric signal from temperature sensor is received, opening electromagnetic valve 103 and closing electromagnetic valve 103. Pressure of the discharge chamber 15 is introduced into the chamber 19a of control chamber 19 through pressure-conducting route 104 and pressure difference is generated between the suction chamber 14 and communicating chamber 19b, and slide ring 13 is shifted to the chamber 19b side inside the control chamber 19, closing communicating hole 201. Coolant sucked into the closed gas chamber 20 through suction port 3c is totally compressed. When the capacity of compressor has become excessive, electromagnetic valve 102 is closed at electric signal from temperature sensor and electromagnetic valve 103 is opened. After all, the communicating hole 201 is opened, communicating the first half of the compression stroke of the closed gas chamber 20 to the suction chamber 14. Consequently, the service volume of compression coolant is reduced half compared with the normal operation.</p> |
