<p>A flat visible top surface, and side surfaces towards the road and away from the road, are incorporated on a curbstone at a road verge, esp. in residential streets and roads. Adjacent to the visible surface (4) there is an exposed lengthways trough (10), to carry away rainwater collecting on the road surface. This is formed in one or more cross channels (18) branch off from this, leading to an opening mouth (18) in the side facing away (12) from the road. This reliably removes water even from heavy downpours, always conveying a portion of it sideways into the adjacent ground.</p> |
