A reversible liquid solid phase change composition comprising hydrated Mg(NO3)2/MgCl2, and one of the group of MgO, Mg(OH)2, and/or NaBO2, added to the composition in an effective amount to suppress super-cooling of the Mg(NO3)2/MgCl2 liquid phase.
