The present invention relates to an aqueous dispersion comprising solid active substance particles with a particle size of up to 10μm and an amphiphile. The invention furthermore relates to a method of preparing the dispersion by bringing an active substance and an amphiphile into contact. The invention furthermore relates to a solid composition comprising active substance particles with a particle size of up to 10μm and an amphiphile, obtained by drying the aqueous dispersion. Moreover, the invention relates to the use of the dispersion or the solid composition for controlling phytopathogenic fungi and/or undesired vegetation and/or undesired attack by insects or mites and/or for regulating the growth of plants. Finally, the invention relates to seed, treated with the dispersion or the solid composition.
