<p>PURPOSE:To improve the precision of color display and color difference measurement and make them rapid, by using the colorless chromaticity point as the origin of orthogonal coordinates and by displaying chromaticity by many concentric circles with this origin as the center and radial lines which divide orthogonal angles of coordinate axes into many parts equally. CONSTITUTION:The colorless chromaticity point is used as the origin of orthogonal coordinates, and many concentric circles are provided with origin 6 as the center at equal intervals and are used as equal chromaticity lines, and further, many radial lines which divide angles between orthogonal axes 7 and 8 into plural parts equally are provided and are used as equal hue lines. Angles made by the horizontal coordinate axis and the lines connecting origin 6 and chromaticity points are hue angles, and length of lines connecting origin 6 and chromaticity points indicate chromaticities. Consequently, when a color display, for example, hunter chromaticities (a) and (b) are plotted in this section figure, the hue angle and the chroma saturation can be read simply and accurately by utilizing radial lines and concentric circles. When the hue and the chroma saturation are obtained, two colors are indicated with lightness, hue, and chromasaturation, and therefore, the color difference quantity is indicated by the length in stereoscopic coordinates, and three components of the color difference, namely, the lightness difference, the chroma saturation difference, and the hue difference are indicated with length.</p> |
