<p>The moving massage elements, arranged next to each other, form a massaging surface. They are so lifted, or sunk, in a direction at right angles to this surface, as to provide an undulating movement. Pref. the elements are in the form of adjacent, mutually parallel strips, the undulating movement direction running transverse to the strips longitudinal axis. The strips may be divided into sections along their length, each section being provided with independent drive. Alternately each strip may have only a single drive. The strips have typically upwards directed pressure elements, forming the massaging surface proper, preferably in the form of pins in offset configuration on adjacent strips. The modulating movement is pref. sinusoidal, and the stroke or speed are adjustable.</p> |
