PURPOSE:To prepare a chlorella-containing health food having physical characteristics suitable for chewing, and excellent taste, flavor, color, etc., by mixing chlorella granules and pickled ''ume'' granules at a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION:A chlorella-containing solid food having heterogeneous structure is prepared either by mixing (A) 85-95wt% of chlorella formed for granules having a hardness of about 0.8-1.7kg/cm<2> and (B) 15-5wt% of pickled ''ume'' formed to granules, or by forming the mixture obtained above. The chloella granules are pref. prepared by the method which gives dark green granules. This can be achieved by reversing the order of the drying step and the spherizing step in the conventional granulation process which comprises kneading, granulation, drying, spherizing, and sieving steps in the order named. The food thus prepared has vivid contrast of green chlorella and red ''ume''. |
