PURPOSE:To prevent rapid discharge as to a television receiver that is put into operation with batteries, by reducing electric current supplied to the receiver by limiting the anode current when the across voltage of batteries decreases below a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:As the discharge of batteries advances, the across voltage of input electric power source 18 drops and under fixed conditions, transistor 14 turns on. Consequently, since voltage V0 developed across capacitor 3 drops, diode 8 is cut off and the base current of transistor 10 starts flowing via resistance 7. Then, the collector voltage of transistor 10 rises to limit the anode current of cathode-ray tube 1. Thus, the rapid discharge of electric power batteries is prevented and batteries can be prevented from damaging. |
