PURPOSE:To obtain a printer of small size, low cost, and high resolution, by applying DC voltage and pulses superposed on this voltage between a writing signal generating part, and the backside electrode of an electrostatic recording material as well as a thin film layer electrically connected to the electrodes. CONSTITUTION:Linear electrodes 9 are spirally wound around rotary cylindrical drum 8, and thin film layer 11 of a signal forming part having end side 10 is provided adjacently to electrodes 9 almost in parallel to the longitudinal direction of electrodes 9. Electrostatic recording material 2 is placed adjacently or in contact to this signal forming part, and backside electrode 12 electrically connected to layer 11 is installed on the reverse side of the signal forming part. A signal voltage of superposed outputs from DC voltage generating part 40 and pulse signal generating part 41 is applied between electrodes 9, and electrode 12 and layer 11. Developing section 30 and fixing section 31 are attached to this device. |
