Railway vehicle centre coupling return mechanism - has return spring in cylinder housing to move sliding stop on bolt

A pressure transfer mechanism and stop toggle are used in conjunction with a return spring for horizontal central return positioning of a centre coupling on railway rolling-stock. The pressure devices have cylinder housings (11), detachably fastened to the hinge attachment housing (24) via two bolts (17,18), in each case, passing in tandem through lateral eyes in the cylinder housing. The return spring (12) is mounted in the latter, to displace the pressure transfer member, which is a sliding piece (13). The stop toggle (19) is fitted on the bolt (18) nearest to this. Return springs can be easily replaced, without dismantling the hinge attachment housing.(DS).
