The watch case according to the invention allows the removal and installation, without a tool, of a normal strap whose fixing to the case is afforded by bars, which can consist of simple rods. The housings (21, 22), intended to receive the ends of these bars, are formed in horns situated under a part (2) of the body of the case, which surrounds the glass (3) and overruns the enclosure of the movement. These housings communicate with clearings (4, 5) formed in the body of the case, starting from the rear. The bars for fixing the strap may therefore be introduced into their housings (21, 22) by passing them through the clearings (4, 5). They are locked by segments (9, 10) of a swinging frame (6) which, in the open position, enables the watch to be set up on a table. <IMAGE>
