<p>Dentistry aid resembles a pair of tongs with a spring-loaded hinge so that the end of one arm, which has a forked end, can hold absorbant pads in place alongside both sides of a patient's tooth while the end of the other arm acts as a clamp against the underside of the patient's jaw. Pref. the ends of the upper arm are shaped with recesses to locate the pad and to provide an adaptor for attaching a saliva evacuation tube. Pref. the arms are moulded from polycarbonate for a combination of rigidity and resistance to sterilisation by heat.</p> |
