Control system for crankshaft milling machine - has computer with linear interpolator to eliminate false signals due to vibration

A crankshaft milling machine has a milling cutter mounted on a slide which can move at right angles to the axis of the crankshaft. The slide is driven by a motor and the crankshaft is rotated by a motor. The position of the slide is dependent on the angular position of the crankshaft. The slide position is controlled by a programme fed into the computer which receives signals of the actual positions of the crankshaft and slide and then transmits signals to the motors to achieve the correct position. The computer includes a linear interpolator which eliminates any flase signals generated by the vibration of the workpiece.
