<p>The equipment for articulates around a measuring cell containing a transparent reading area into which the particles for measurement are introduced in suspension in liquid. The assembly is controlled sequentially by logic circuit. The liquid is introduced and evacuated by capillary tubes, and the chamber is illuminated by a laser. The output is received by opto- electronic assemblies to provide an electrical signal for processing. The processing is performed by spectral analysis and the results are applied to a plotter or to recording instruments for observation. The appts. allows the diagnosis of sickness in patients by measurement of the living cells in suspension in a vein. The device allows, for each sample, an analysis time of 3 minutes. The volume of the suspension required is such as to provide 10,000 cells, of which 600 can be analysed on each test cycle.</p> |
