The lance is used to inject chemicals into granular subsoil strata to improve load-bearing characteristics. Two coaxial hollow cylinders (1, 5) define an annular passage for the prim. fluid (a) together with a core passage for the sec. fluid (b). Injection takes places at the foot of the lance, radial bores (6, 7) communicating between the respective passages and a circumferential channel (2) in the barrel of the outer cylinder (1). An elastic sleeve (8) of e.g. rubber is positioned in the channel, the arrangement preventing subsoil ingress and backflow of the fluids.
