The key and holder assembly comprises a key of flat plate and a holder with rigid lengthwise walls parallel to the plate surface and joined by transverse walls. The tip (9) of the key has a protruding portion (10) of roughly the same width and permanently accommodated in the holder (3) which acts as a hand grip. U shaped guide clamp is provided for sliding the key in and out of the holder, and spring components hold it in the extended and retracted positions.
