1526813 Quality control of milk VALID MEIJERIEN KESKUSDSUUSLIIKE 28 Oct 1975 [29 Oct 1974] 44388/75 Heading G1B The quality control of milk, viz. the measurement of its catalase activity as an indication of the presence of bacteria and somatic cells, is effected by transportation of the sample to an analyzing vicinity in a sampling and transportation container which has catalase analyzer, a peroxide compound e.g. H 2 O 2 , in a quantity required for the catalase analysis being mixed with the sample at the sampling time and before its transportation, so that the catalase reaction takes place at least partly during transportation and thereafter measuring the catalase activity at the analyzing vicinity. The analyzer may comprise a combined sampling, transportation and reaction container A with a mouth B. A quality test measuring container C provided with a quality indicating scale which fits into the mouth B of container C which is filled with water to the highest mark on the scale. Container C has a pipe E for directing into C gas released during testing and a pipe D for removal of water displaced by the gas. Milk under test and H 2 O 2 are initially placed in A. |
