Seven title esters, useful as herbicides, were prepd. in 94-100 % yields from the reaction of COS with amine. Thus, di-n-propylamine was treated with COS in aq. NaOH soln. and the intermediate was treated with n-propylchloride in the presence of tricaprylmethylammonium chloride to give 100 % S-propyldipropylthiocarbamate of 99.5 % purity.
