PURPOSE:To make the height of a building lower as compared to that in the prior art and considerably lower equipment costs by pouring molten metal into an arc cylinder-shaped space to continuously cast the same and leveling the ingot being drawn out into the horizontal direction from the inside of said space while carrying it out thereby forming a linear ingot. CONSTITUTION:The titled device is constituted by providing a sealing member 9 (steel belt) which covers the suitable section of the outside circumferential surface of a rotator 1 freely rotatable around the perpendicular shaft 3 having an annular groove 2 on the outside circumferential surface, providing a pouring body 12 which pours molten metal into the annular groove 2 of the rotator 1 covered with the sealing member 9, and providing a carrying-out and leveling device 21 which levels the continuous arc-shaped ingot 22 being drawn out in the horizontal direction from the inside of the annular groove 2 to a linear shape while carrying it out. With the above-mentioned device, the linear ingot is formed continuously. With this method, the height of the building may be made extremely lower than that in the prior art, thus construction costs may be lowered considerably and the operation may be made easy. |
