The energy recycling system employs hinged sections of a road or motorway deflected by passing vehicles and coupled by rods to pumps to convert a passing vehicle's kinetic energy into stored energy. The system is located beneath the road. A vehicle travels onto the first hinged section (1,2) raised above the general level of the road which is deflected down by the vehicle. The first section is linked by a coupling mechanism (5,7,9) to a pump (10,11) and to a second hinged section (3,4). When the first section is deflected down, the pump is operated and the second section is raised. The vehicle then passes onto the second section, forcing it down and causing it to operate the pump piston a second time and to raise the first hinged section back into the original position.
|
