The compsns. are stabilised (against discolouration) by incorporating per 100 pt. polymer, (a) 0.2-5, pref. 1-2 pt. of a synthetic, crystalline, finely divided sodium alumino silicate contg. 13-25, pref. 18-25% bound water, having the formula, calc. as the water-free cpd. 0.7-1.1 Na2O Al2O3 1.3-2.4 SiO2; (b) 0.05-1.5, pref. 0.8-1.2 pt. of Ca salts of 8-22C fatty acids; (c) 0.05-0.5, pref. 0.1-0.4 pt. of Zn salts of 8-22C fatty acids; (d) 0.2-2, pref. 0.3-0.5 pt. of a pentaerytheitol partial ester of 8-22C fatty acids, with a mol. ratio of pentaerthiitol; fatty acid of 1:1-1:2; (e) 0.1-1, pref. 0.2-0.5 pt. of a thioglycolic acid ester of a monofunctional 8-18C alcohol, a monothiglycolic acid ester of aliphatic 2-6C diols or a glycerine monolthioglycolate. Lightly pigmented or white PVC articles are obtained without the use of additional Pb, Sn, Ba or Cd cpds.
