Transfer printing machine with integrated finishing section - gives high quality printing with increased productivity and reduced power consumption

A transfer printing machine for fabric incorporates a post-printing finishing section, in which the still-hot fabric is vibrated, steamed, super-heated, and cooled, before re-winding. The fabric is carried through the finishing section on a conveyor which follows on immediately from, and in the same plane as, the presser felt on which the fabric is removed from the printing drum. The printing cylinder is heated by a combined oil/infra-red process which ensures continuous, high-precision temperature control. This procedure gives better-qualityrints, partic. when applied to knotted pile fabrics, and improves the fabric handle. It eliminates intermediate batching, storage and transport operations, giving increased productivity and considerable savings in space and in power consumption.
