Optically active and racemic propionamidoxime derivs. of formula (I) (where A is tetrahydronaphthyl or dihydro naphthyl) and their salts are new. The cpds. are prepd. by reaction of a nitrile of formula A.OCH(CH3).CN with hydroxylamine hydrochloride The cpds. are active on the central nervous system.
