The plastics crockery is designed for use in large-scale kitchens which employ automatic dishwashing systems. The crockery has a built-in magnetically attracting material (8) which is moulded into the wall around the upper edges of the crockery item. Since the base remains non-magnetic the crockery can be used in the normal way but on entering the automatic dishwashing system it can be removed from the tray and passed to the relevant positions, all by magnets thereby reducing the manual work considerably. The magnetically attracting material is pref. in the form of a single or multi-part sheet metal ring (8) of ferromagnetic material which once inserted in the upper wall during mfr. is completely encased by the plastics so as not to impair its appearance. |
