摘要

Dextrorotatory octahydroindoloquinolizines of formula (I) and laevorotatory 15-halo-E-homoeburnanes of formula (IV) are new where (R1 is 1-4C alkyl; X is halogen). (I) can be epimerised to give intermediates for (apo)vincaminic acid esters useful as vasodilators. (I) can be prepd., via intermediates (IV), from starting materials which are by-products obtd. in the prodn. of (apo)vircaminic acid esters and have no previously known uses.
