Placing roof tiles, flat on first conveyor, on edge on second - using tipper arm at end of first, and pushers and clamp at start of second

The mechanism is intended for moving e.g. roof tiles (10) and placing them in groups. It comprises a continuously moving first conveyor belt (1) with a continuously moving second belt (3) arranged downstream at a lower level. A pivoted (12) tipper arm (11) at the end of the first belt lifts and tips tiles, which lie flat on that belt, and places them on edge on the second belt. Pushers (20,21) arranged at the start of the second belt engage the lower edge of the tile placed thereon whilst a clamp (30,31) grips the longitudinal ends to hold the tiles in position.
