Electrostatic powder coating installation - uses input and output filters with inward directed air flow to prevent powder loss

The process involves charged powders particles which adhere to the required surface upon which they are baked. The chamber in which the process occurs is sealed to prevent the powder from polluting the surrounding air, and also to allow full recovery of the powder which fails to adhere. The work piece is carried into the chamber on a moving cable and through a flexible filter having fixed filters on either side. Recycling air is blown through these filters to carry powder particles back into the enclosure. Powder spray jets spray on the powder in the central part of the chamber, causing the surplus powder to fall to the bottom of the enclosure. A filter system with forced air circulation similar to the entry filter is used at the exit from the chamber.
