PURPOSE:To obtain a sharp print formed to a sufficient thickness by one time printing and free from pinholes or the like, by forming auxiliary letter grooves smaller in width than the letter grooves on a glass plate or a steel plate, and then forming the letter grooves on the peripheral borders of the auxiliary grooves. CONSTITUTION:In manufacturing a precise printing plate for a time piece, given pattern 3 and register mark 6 are lettered to form block copy 5, and auxiliary letter grooves 3A are formed in a pattern smaller in width than given pattern 2 by the photoetching method using copy 5 on face 1 of a glass or steel plate. After this plate is washed and degreased, grooves 2A are formed again by overlaying given pattern 2 on grooves 3A and photoetching them to complete a printing plate, thus permitting transfer printing to be made with much ink at one time due to deep etched grooves 3A and pinhole-free sharp printing to be made at one time due to prevention of thickening and deformation of image lines. |
