The packaging is obtained by folding and gluing precut cardboard strip to form a rectangular container with both sides open and a cut-out in the face. Precut holes in front and rear faces of a cardboard rectangle allow it to be pushed onto a display peg which is perpendicular to the back of the display case. The folding cutout in the face allows viewing of the contents of the package and is folded to the rear of the package and passed through a slot in the rear to form the support passing through the central hole of the goods. The system has particular applications for packaging reels of electrical cable.
