The brake support (1) has four surfaces guiding the caliper (13) axially and spaced from each other in the disc circumferential direction. The caliper bears against a pair of the surfaces (at points C,D) radially from the inside and the other pair of surfaces (at points A,D) radially from the outside, so that the caliper is guided without jamming. Pins (11,12) are secured to a support and pass eccentrically through elastic bushes secured to the caliper. Instead of the pins, plane sliding surfaces may be provided.
