PURPOSE:To prevent improper focus controlling while the self-timer of an automatic focus control camera is in use by locking the release when the self-timer is set and releasing the lock when the focus control is changed over to manual. CONSTITUTION:An automatic focus control mechanism consisting of a setting member 2, a focus control ring 3, a control lever 4 and an iron piece lever 5 is illustrated. When the setting lever 11 of a self-timer 10 is set, a release locking member 9 is slewed left by the force of a spring 9e to lock a release rod 1. Thereupon, when a change-over member 8 is slewed right by manual operation, the control lever 4 is disabled and the focus control ring 3 becomes manually operatable or exclusive for normal focus position defined by the curved part 3b of the change-over member, whereby the malfunction of the automatic focus control mechanism by the position of the camera operator at the setting of the self-timer may be prevented. |
