PURPOSE:To improve the vertical-direction resolution, by giving three kinds of spectral sensitivity characteristic to each picture element of the solid image pickup element. CONSTITUTION:Outputs of solid image pickup elements 1 and 7 are supplied to detecting circuit 29, and the green signal obtained by detecting only the part corresponding to green picture elements is made into a narrow-band green signal. Consequently, the narrow-band signal applied to subtracting circuti 16 is different from the conventional signal, and as the result, contents of the high-band green signal become different from conventional those. Meanwhile, since the narrow-band green signal governs the vertical-direction resolution, it corresponds to the number of scanning lines in principle. The red signal, the green signal, and the blue signal are sent to color encoder 27 and are synthesized, and a wide-band color television signal is obtained from output terminal 28. |
