PURPOSE:To easily cut and remove a metallic ring from the main body of a picture tube without causing a damage to the main body of the picture tube even if the metallic ring is mounted to a position out of the tolerance, by providing an externally protrusive folded part in the metallic ring for tightening a panel skirt part. CONSTITUTION:Partially on a tightening metallic ring 2 having mounting lugs 3 a folded part 4 used as a cut place is provided. When a mounting work of shrinkage fit for the metallic ring 2 to a main body 1 of a picture tube is correctly performed, any further work is not required, however, when the metallic ring 2 has been mounted to the body 1 in a state with the lug 3 at least the tolerance apart from a prescribed position, a rework of mounting the ring to the correct position must be performed. At this time, if the folded part 4 is cut off at the position of a line 5 that shows a cut place, the tightening metallic ring 2 can be easily removed from the main body 1 of the picture tube. To give a strength to the folded part 4, a less amount of deformation can be obtained if the folded part 4 is formed in a dimension with its vertical angle alpha=90 deg. and legnth of its side l= about 5mm.. |
