<p>The machine works from monofil plastics which come in as strand material for placement between the teeth provided on a forming member. The strands are fed in by a feeder and below this a pusher whose push track is curved, arcuate and matched by the opposed curved or arched surface of a surmounted feeder. The feeder surface protrudes to form embossing cams at intervals so as to stamp out the coupling surfaces on the strand which is thus fed on positively into the tooth space with the legs superposed and the rear connectors of the links grasping the divider teeth from behind. A finger on the pusher can be used to hold the connectors down during placement and a lever is used to drive the links down in between the teeth. Any thickness of strand can be handled owing to the positive feed between feeder and pusher.</p> |
