Tool for shaping the end of candles to make them fit a given candlestick. The tool comprises a part made of a flexible material 1 and shaped like a truncated cone that has been folded out. This part is fitted on one side with a number of ribs 3, which are spaced at equal distances from one another, taper outward and run in the direction of the generatrix of the truncated cone part. This piece of material is folded with one hand around the candle, whose diameter can have any size within a certain range, with the ribs pointing inward, and the candle is turned about its longitudinal axis with the other hand. As a result, the tapering ribs, acting like cutters, shape the end of the candle, giving it a conical form. <IMAGE>
