The invention relates to a device for extracting the guts and/or entrails from the abdominal cavity of headless fish. The device comprises a head-removing knife 6, which protrudes between a continuous feed belt 4, on which the fish are advanced, and a head-removing belt 5, which is coordinated with the feed belt and which supports the head. After this knife and in the same plane there is a suction device 8, connected to an underpressure source. The suction chamber 10 contains, immediately behind the suction opening, a drive-mounted blade wheel 14, which, together with the suction chamber, forms a clamping surface for pincer-like gripping of the guts sucked into the suction opening. An orifice plate 18 located in front of the suction opening 13 and controlled by the fish thickness allows the suction opening to be controlled in proportion to the fish size. <IMAGE> |
