PURPOSE:To improve stability of pole trailer in travelling while increasing tractive force in drawing out an intermediate connecting rod consisting of pipe members having different diameters by enabling the pipe members to be drawn out sequentially from larger diameter pipe member to smaller one. CONSTITUTION:When an intermediate connecting rod 3 is drawn out which can adjust a space between a tractor 1 and trailer 2 to the length of long cargo, collar members 8B, 8C are provided on the ends of pipe members 3C, 3D to draw out the pipe members 3A, 3B, 3C and 3D in the order of increasing diameter. A projecting clawlike member 9 bearing against these collar members 8B, 8C to draw out the respective pipe members 3B-3D from the pipe member 3D is vertically slidably held by an arm member 5 fixed to an end of the pipe member 3D having the least diameter. The projecting member 9 is connected to an air cylinder 10 through a link 12 and others to be operated by the operation of the cylinder 10. |
