PURPOSE:To manufacture a stout cleaning catalyst, which is used in combustion type air conditioner, having high cleaning capacity and low pressure loss, by supporting an oxidizing catalyst with spongy metallic porous material of three dimensional network structure. CONSTITUTION:To manufacture an oxidizing catalyst for detoxifying and deodorizing harmful and odorous components such as carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons contained in combustion gas which is discharged from an oilstove or an FF room heater, porous, disk-shaped metallic material 5 having spongy, three-dimensional network structure is immersed in a soln. contg. catalytic components 6 such as Pt, Rh etc., hereby the catalytic components 6 are supported with the porous material 5 by calcination etc. This catalyst is stout and is hardly pulverized, showing low pressure loss, and removes harmful gas at high activity. |
