<p>An injection syringe consists of a holder in which the cylinder can be inserted and which is fitted with a finger grip section. A piston rod with a boss for engagement to the piston of the cylinder has at the free end a knob. The exposed part of the piston rod is protected against contamination. This is done by gaiters which can be pushed into each other telescopically and are produced in one piece. Alternatively, a thin tube, sealed at both ends, can be used around the piston rod. Such a syringe can be used repeatedly without risk of contamination.</p> |
