The gum massager has two pivoted arms each of which terminates in a jaw (5). The jaws are formed with lateral lugs (8a,8b) which receive the pivot axes of a pair of silicone rubber rollers. The axes are perpendicular to the plane containing the two arms. The arms are both L-shaped and are bent in the same direction. Near the pivot pin (12) are mounted a pair of complementary Z-shaped spring strips each of which has one end mounted on one arm and the opposite end fixed to the other. The springs (14,13) bias the arms, and hence the jaws, apart so the user can apply the correct massaging pressure himself.
