The platform is then tilted over telescopic support arms (4) about an axis (7a) using a telescopic jack (9). The platform rear (12) then rests on the arms, both movements being possible by using the dual function hinges (5a). Both the telescopic jacks can be remotely controlled from the ground. They not only move the platform into the folded position, but also lock to maintain it horizontal.
