<p>The wood splitter has a frame with support legs (6,7) and side beams (1). The beams are joined by a trough (13). The splitting knife (4) is fixed on an arm (4) at one end of the frame. The height of the knife is adjustable. The timber is held on the faceplate (15) fitted with holding spikes. The faceplate is moved towards the knife by a hydraulic cylinder (16) operated by a lever (21). The system is powered from a tractor power take-off point (22).</p> |
