Circuit to control power supplied to load - using selection circuit, D=A converter and control pulse generator

The circuit controls e.g. the speed of a motor in a household mixer or the current supplied to a heater or light etc. A selection circuit (10) selects control voltages which are converted by a digital/analog converter (11) into analog signals for passing to a control pulse generator (12). The control pulse generator controls the device that regulates the power supplied to the load. The selection circuit has push-buttons or touch plate switches and a hold circuit to hold the signal produced by the operated button or switch. The hold circuit contains a memory. Several hold circuits may be provided to increase bit capacity.
